Core but NOT on the Floor

Session Type:
For most of our waking hours we’re upright and bipedal, so it makes sense that to build a strong, functional core, we should train in upright, standing positions. This session will introduce the concepts of ‘Warding’ and ‘Palloff’ patterns, as well as exploring other ways to creatively engage the core musculature whilst standing, teaching you how to make core work more relevant, as well as fun and engaging.

Learning Outcomes:
-Understand the concepts of warding patterns and Palloff patterns, and how we can utilise these to target our core in our exercise sessions
-Challenge the mind to extend beyond traditional core exercise and methods for engaging core musculature
-Bring more play, interaction and fun into core training sessions via abdominally-focused drills
