High-intensity interval training workouts are popular for their effectiveness in improving cardiovascular and metabolic health. This session will explore a variety of ways HIIT can be utilised in aqua classes, offering a fun, energetic choreography that you can easily incorporate into your aqua classes for an engaging workout.
You will explore a variety of dynamic Aqua HiiT choreography and drills—ranging from time-based exercises to Tabata intervals—to challenge participants and enhance both strength and cardio fitness. Learn ways to make your classes more engaging, while adapting to different participant levels.
Learning Outcomes:
– Learn a variety of movements and how to incorporate them into a powerful energetic aqua choreography.
– Learn how to create and deliver aqua-based high intensity interval training (HIIT) programmes.
– Learn how to adjust HIIT exercises to cater for a wide range of participants and abilities.
The aqua session is 1 hour long, with 45 minutes spent in the pool and the last 15 minutes for discussing the session, warming up in the spa, or getting changed.
Intermediate Level – All welcome, foundational knowledge recommended.
