Corinne Austin

She is the Happy Body Coach, and with more than twenty years in the health and fitness industry, Corinne’s greatest drive is in helping her clients to find or rediscover the happy body within them. Winning Exercise New Zealand’s ‘Personal Trainer of the Year’ in 2017 gave Corinne even more drive to follow her passion for understanding the many elements and facets of creating a happy body.

Having trained under some of the world’s greatest mentors (some of them here at ExerciseNZ Conferences!), she has undergone studies and mentorship in Fascial Mobilisation & Therapy, Lymphatic Stimulation, Functional Movement, and Functional Medicine. Bringing these various modalities and ‘modes of operandi’ together, Corinne is able to approach her clients with a comprehensive lens, enabling her to utilise various things within her toolbox to help her clients not only achieve happier bodies, but also to understand the many different things that must be considered for happy bodies to be achieved.

Corinne loves to help others widen their own views and perspectives on what it means to be truly fit and healthy, expanding their current landscape of health and fitness, and extending their horizon for what is truly possible.     Session Type: Exercise Prescription

    For most of our waking hours we’re upright and bipedal, so it makes sense that to build a strong, functional core, we should train in upright, standing positions. This session will introduce the concepts of 'Warding' and 'Palloff' patterns, as well as exploring other ways to creatively engage the core musculature whilst standing, teaching you how to make core work more relevant, as well as fun and engaging.
