Kris Tynan has 30 years under her belt of leading classes for older adults and others with long-term conditions such as prostate cancer (Prost-FIT), breast cancer (Live Stronger) Parkinson’s, and osteoarthritis (the CDHB MAP programme).
She is the workshop coordinator for Active Canterbury Network and the author of the industry book ‘The Interactive Instructor’. She is also the programme director of Exercise as Medicine online training which includes CPD courses such as Diabetes and Obesity, Joints and Bones, Older Adults, Parkinson’s Pro, Stroke, Breast Cancer and Exercise and Prostate Cancer and Exercise.
Her training for exercise professionals is always upbeat and practical as she understands first-hand the challenges teaching group exercise to these cohorts can bring.
